Susie Plettner has seventeen years experience in natural medicine. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology from Macalester College in St. Paul Minnesota in 1994.

She is a licensed massage therapist, a certified acupressure therapist, and holds advanced certifications in Jin Shin Jyutsu, Shiatsu, and Level Two Reiki. She is also certified in first aid homeopathy and a certified doula (birthing assistant).

She is a part-time instructor at The Acupressure Institute and has taught acupressure courses at Trinity College in San Francisco.

She completed her Doctor of Naturopathy at Clayton College of Natural Health in 2007 and is currently studying Classical Homeopathy at the Institute of Classical Homeopathy in San Francisco.

Susie has studied with traditional healers and shamans throughout Central America and in the United States. Her studies in Jin Shin Jyutsu began in 1995 while researching and practicing natural medicine in Guatemala and Honduras. Working with indigenous communities, she helped create health programs that promoted hands on healing as well as the use of herbs, nutrition, yoga, and organic agriculture. As a healer, artist, and mediator, she designs each session to uniquely fit individual needs.

Jin Shin Jyutsu and massage are the main focus of her practice; she also incorporates nutritional, herbal, and homeopathic first aid therapies when they are appropriate to facilitate healing. She specializes in treating cancer, chronic pain, family wellness, and womenís health. Her goal is to provide holistic care through all phases of life. She offers Jin Shin Jyutsu treatments, acupressure massage, and self-care classes through her private practice in San Francisco and Oakland.
